Tavern on the Green

Tavern on the Green

Tavern on the Green, oh how I have longed to experience the magic that is spoken of within your walls. And let me tell you, my visit with my husband Edwin, our daughter Amberlin, and our dear friends Bryant and Misael was nothing short of enchanting.

From the moment we stepped foot into this fairy tale establishment, we were greeted by the most delightful and attentive staff. They felt like old friends instantly, creating an atmosphere that was warm and inviting. As we made our way through the entrance, we were serenaded by the sweet sounds of a family band, their melodies adding an extra touch of whimsy to our experience.

We were then led to the CPR room #IYKYK , a charming glass-enclosed space bathed in the glow of the sun. The room was alive with laughter, the scent of delectable food, and an infectious sense of joy. It was clear that this was a place where memories were made.

To our surprise and delight, the chef himself emerged from the kitchen to personally extend his well wishes. We felt like honored guests, as plates upon plates of delicious food made their way to our table. The kitchen truly outdid themselves in treating us to a culinary extravaganza.

Now let's talk about the food.
The feast began with a basket of homemade pastries that had us swooning from the first bite. But that was just the beginning. The chef sent out the Tavern's famous brown maple sugar bacon, crispy and sweet, a true breakfast indulgence. We also savored the potato pancakes, perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, and the honey roasted figs, bursting with sweetness.

Of course, we couldn't resist ordering some of the Tavern's signature dishes. The fruit wood smoked salmon was a revelation, its smoky flavor dancing on our tongues. The scrambled egg pizza was a creative twist on a brunch favorite, and the Tavern French toast was pure decadence, soaked in flavors of vanilla and cinnamon.

We also indulged in classics like the eggs benedict, the hollandaise sauce rich and velvety, and the steak and eggs, the meat perfectly cooked to our liking. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, a testament to the culinary prowess of the Tavern's kitchen.

And let's not forget the drinks. Amberlin sipped on a Shirley Temple, her eyes sparkling with delight. Edwin enjoyed a classic Manhattan, the perfect blend of smooth whiskey and aromatic bitters. And I delighted in a pomegranate martini, its vibrant color a fitting celebration of the occasion.

As the meal progressed, the laughter and merriment reached its peak. We sang and toasted, raising a glass to Edwin, Bryant, and Misael on their special birthdays. The atmosphere was electric, filled with love, friendship, and joy.

I must take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the staff at Tavern on the Green. Your kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made our celebration truly unforgettable. From the moment we stepped through your doors, we felt like cherished guests, and that feeling continued throughout our entire visit. You made us feel like part of the Tavern family, and for that, we are forever grateful.

Thank you, Tavern on the Green, for exceeding our expectations and providing us with a brunch experience that will forever be etched in our hearts. The food was nothing short of exquisite, the atmosphere was nothing short of enchanting, and the company was nothing short of extraordinary. We could not have asked for a better way to celebrate our loved ones' birthdays.

To the entire Tavern on the Green staff, we adore you. Your passion, dedication, and love for what you do shines through in every aspect of our visit. Thank you for helping to create memories that will last a lifetime. We raise our glasses to you, and we can't wait to return to your magical oasis in the heart of New York City. You have truly captured our hearts, and we are forever grateful. With love and appreciation, we adore you!
Happy Birthday Edwin, Bryant and Misael!
